What changes on a Gin Gin build

Exposed paddock sites

Open grazing country and ridgelines have little shielding, which lifts the design wind speed compared with a sheltered town block. We set terrain category and shielding from your actual site.

Cyclonic loading still applies through most of the district

Gin Gin is close enough to the coast that Category C loading generally still applies. Footing size, tie-down and fixing patterns are engineered accordingly.

Larger rural lots, simpler approvals

Rural zoning generally allows a much larger footprint before planning triggers apply, but building approval is still required. We handle the engineering and documentation either way.

Most requested in Gin Gin

Machinery sheds

Open-front and part-enclosed bays sized to the equipment on the property.

Hay and fodder storage

Tall clear-span structures for round or square bale storage with sensible access.

Workshops and garages

Lock-up steel workshops and garages for the house block or the working yard.

Approvals in the Bundaberg Region

The majority of the Bundaberg Region we build in — including the coast, Bargara, Innes Park, Burnett Heads, Moore Park Beach, Elliott Heads and Gin Gin - falls under Category C (cyclonic) wind loading under AS/NZS 1170.2. The classification only drops back to Wind Region B roughly 100 km from the coast. That cyclonic rating changes footing size, tie-down detail and cladding fixing patterns. Every Spartan Sheds is engineered to site specific wind classification confirmed for your actual lot - never a generic kit rating.
