Spartan Sheds builds custom farm sheds, machinery sheds, workshops and garages in Childers and the surrounding Isis district. Buildings are engineered to the site, approved through Bundaberg Regional Council, and built by our own crew in 100% Australian BlueScope® steel.
The classification only steps back from Category C roughly 100 km from the coast, so most Childers-area builds are still engineered for cyclonic loading. That drives footing size, tie-down detail and cladding fixing patterns - it is not something to shortcut on a farm shed.
Rural blocks generally have wider boundary set-back requirements, but allow more generous site cover than town lots, which usually means a bigger building is possible without triggering planning approval. Building approval is still required for a farm shed.
Ground conditions around Childers and the surrounding rural areas can vary considerably, from productive red soils through to harder and rockier sites. Soil classification, slope and existing site levels can all influence excavation, footing requirements and slab design, so these conditions are considered before the building work begins.

Depending on the property and proposed building, additional Council assessment may also be required for matters such as setbacks, siting, building size, height, site cover, planning requirements or applicable overlays. Spartan Sheds checks these requirements early, coordinates the engineering and certification, and manages any required Council applications or siting requests as part of our fully built service.
