Spartan Sheds builds garages, carports, patios, boat and caravan bays in Bargara and the Coral Coast. Coastal builds are engineered for Category C cyclonic wind loading and specified for salt exposure, approved through Bundaberg Regional Council and built by our own crew.
Rock and hard ground are common along the Elliott Heads, Innes Park, Bargara and Burnett Heads coastline areas. Shallow rock can affect excavation, footing installation, service trenches and slab preparation, particularly where deeper piers or cut-and-fill work is required. We assess the ground conditions early so the likely excavation and concrete requirements can be allowed for before the building construction begins.
Bargara and the surrounding coastal areas are exposed to salt-laden air, so material selection matters. The correct COLORBOND® product, fasteners, flashings and other components need to be specified for the property’s level of marine exposure. BlueScope provides different product and fastener recommendations for coastal environments, including COLORBOND® Ultra steel for more severe marine locations.
Many newer estates along our coastline have smaller residential lots, which can limit shed size and placement through boundary setbacks, site cover and other siting requirements. We assess the available building area and relevant property constraints early so the shed is designed around what can realistically fit and be approved on the block.

Most sheds, garages, carports and patios require building approval through a private building certifier. Depending on the property and proposed building, additional Council assessment may also be required for matters such as setbacks, siting, building size, height, site cover, planning requirements or applicable overlays. Spartan Sheds checks these requirements early, coordinates the engineering and certification, and manages any required Council applications or siting requests as part of our fully built service.
